Clarence (Buddy) Moore
After graduation I joined the
Navy, and was sent to the South Pole after seven days of married life
with my new bride, Arlene. Going around the world a few times (and to the
North Pole on my last sub assignment), I decided to leave the Navy to help my daddy with the farm in Cochran.
In Cochran for seven years, I
attended Middle Georgia Jr. College and took all the courses I could.
After finishing college at Mercer University in Macon, I went back in
the Navy in 1980. I was assigned to submarines this time and I retired
from the Navy twelve years later in 1992. During that time I had a
tour of duty as an instructor
at the Charleston Navy Base. I enjoyed the teaching job, so
after leaving the Navy I applied for a position teaching computer electronics and repair at Darlington High School
in Darlington South Carolina. I taught school from 1992 until 2004. In
2004 I
retired and moved to my present address in Reevesville, South
Carolina.
I built our house and a wood
shop in Reevesville and all I do now is work in the shop, hunt and
fish.
Arlene and I have been married
for 48 years, we have one daughter and two sons. We have 7 grandsons
and one great grandson. God has been very good to us. I thank him
everyday for my family and health. Below are pictures of our
children (left), our grandsons (middle), and the great-grandson
