Helen Brown McIntosh
Helen Brown
decided to grace our planet on March 9, 1943 and is probably one of our
younger graduates. She was born in Montgomery,AL and came to Warner
Robins for her last two years of high school as the daughter of a
military officer. After graduating from WRHS,
Helen attended Hollins College in VA. where she received her BA in
Psychology. She earned her Masters in Education in 1983 at West Georgia
College in Carrollton, GA. and achieved her goal of receiving her PhD in
Counseling and Psychology from the University of Sarasota in 2003.
Somewhere back through all that studying and working, she found time to
meet and marry her husband, Jim McIntosh, (a graduate of the University
of Georgia), in 1967. Not only did she catch her prince, she found time
in that schedule of hers to have and raise two children, a son (Bryan)
and a daughter (Blythe).
Helen has spent the last dozen or so years as an elementary school
counselor involved with inner-city children and the "Drug Free School"
program. She has also written
two books, a children's story and an adult book entitled "Extreme
Makeover - From Inside Out". Helen and Jim make their home in Dalton,
GA.
Helen has her own web site. clicking on the link below will transport
