Johnnie was
born on July 11, 1941 in Fitzgerald, GA. The family moved to Warner
Robins in 1950 and Johnnie attended Charles Thomas, Westside Elementary,
Rumble Jr. High and Warner Robins High School. After graduating from
Warner Robins High School in 1960, Johnnie served four years in the Air
Force and 
then returned to Warner Robins to go to work at Robins AFB in
1964. During his career, he traveled extensively to countries including
Germany, Turkey, Viet Nam, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.
Johnnie married Margarett McGuire and they have four children, Cindy,
Eddie, Melinda and Matthew. They have seven grandchildren was joined by
number seven within the year. Johnnie retired from Robins AFB in 2000,
but continued to work as a consultant to a private contractor supporting
the Saudi F-15 Program. Johnnie retired for the second, and hopefully,
(he maintains) the last time in November 2005.
