Mary Jo Brantley

 

Mary Jo Brantley was born in Augusta, GA on December 12, 1942. After graduating high school in 1960, Mary Jo met Ivan Read. Ivan was born in New York City in February of 1940. They were married in 1975 and have three children, Monica (the eldest), Michelle, and Ivan. All the children have grown up and married. Jo and Ivan have seven grand children, Justin (Monica), Alex, Mikaela (Michelle), and McCauley, Kayman, Fisher, and Bailey (Ivan).

 Jo graduated from Armstrong State College in Savannah with a B.S. degree in Nursing (RN) and worked with the Chatham Co. B.O.E. for a number of years.
Ivan attended NYU for a period and then entered the Air Force. After his hitch in the air force was up, Ivan went into private industry and eventually ended up with Grumman/Gulfstream in the Savannah area. He worked there for 31 years.
 

Both are now retired and spoiling their grandchildren rotten as grandparents are supposed to do.
